We also acknowledge God as the creator of music and since He created us in His image, we are a musical family.

I am an accomplished pianist, having played for over 35 years. Among my several experiences are the following of note:

I am also a student of the bass violin, also known as an upright bass. I had the privilege of playing upright bass with my two oldest sons in the Pagosa Youth String Orchestra (see below).

My wife, Aimee, is also an accomplished pianist and piano teacher. She studied at Grand Canyon University as a piano performance and pedagogy major. She is currently offering piano lessons in the Pagosa Springs, Colorado, area.

In the past, Aimee taught piano in our home in Arizona as well as for North Valley School of the Arts located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Aimee was the pianist for the College and Career worship team at Valley Cathedral and sang in the Soul Addiction worship team for the High School ministry.

Aimee and I are blessed to be able to pass the musical legacy on to our children. Aimee teaches the children piano and our oldest four are taking violin lessons in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, from Kate Kelley.

Our oldest two children have had the opportunity to be part of the Pagosa Youth String Orchestra, which performed on April 30th, 2009, as part of Mrs. Kelley's student recital and Music in the Mountains benefit concert. The PYSO joined the Pagosa High School band as a complete orchestra in concert on May 21st, 2009, performing Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin and Largo by Dvorak.

Our oldest three children participated in the Music in the Mountains Conservatory in July of 2008 where they experienced rehearsing and performing with other students (sort of a pre-orchestra group). They will be joined by their next oldest sibling at the Conservatory in July of 2009.
